Lion Gwynneth Davies-Gale
Lions Club of Cosham
Lion Gwynneth was a Past President of Waterlooville Lions transferring to Cosham in 2005. Despite her age and failing health she fulfilled her commitment until the last few weeks of her life. She was our collector of used spectacles, distributor of MIAB's and each week made the bus journey into Portsmouth to be at a lunch time meeting at St Edmunds School for the Leos club. One of her last visits was to accompany the youngsters to the Guildhall for Mayor Making in May.
Lion Gwynneth was also involved in other Community Activities. She served tea at Blood Donor sessions. She supported children of parents with limited access. Her work in the Community was recognised when she was awarded Citizen of the Year.
Many members of 105D will remember Lion Gwynneth for her determination to be part of all that was happening! If she could not get a lift she used public transport relying on her shopping trolley for support! She attended many District, Multiple District Conventions & Europa Forums.
Lion Gwynneth's dedication was recognised in 2008 when she was presented with a Bert Mason Humanitarian Award.
She will be very much missed by her fellow members of Cosham Lions. Our thoughts are with her family at this sad time.
Her funeral will take place at Portchester Crematorium on Monday 28th June at 11.30am.

The Lions Club of Poole is sad to report the death of Lion Les. A member of our club since 1982, Lion Les was a tireless worker for those in need in our community.
