Does your club need a website?
Provide information 24 hours a day
As more and more people use the internet for information, from finding a local plumber to checking cinema times, providing information about activities and forthcoming events 24 hours a day, 365 days a year is becoming ever more important.
A whole lot of queries can be answered before a phone call is made. Visitors can find out times and venues easily and quickly. While they are checking these details they are learning about the Lions and any potential new members can get a flavour of your club and what you do in your local community and your social activities.
Store your club documents
However, your members should not be neglected when setting-up your website. Being able to login and obtain private information about your club is a very valuable asset. You can store documents that all members can access as they need them, such as:
- Forms and headed paper templates
- Meeting minutes
- Members' contact details
- Members' only diary
- New member orientation
- Posters
- Procedure manuals
- Risk assessments
- Rotas
Safe and secure and available to all members
These documents can be automatically backed-up each day for security and should a member leave suddenly, his or her documents could be available to a successor.
One master copy
How many times do we see spreadsheets go to and fro among participators until no-one knows who has the master copy? If you keep the master copy on the website everyone can keep abreast of the updates.
How?
Please see the items on the sub-menu for setting-up and managing your website.
